About

After 12 years in software industry I've decided to take a break so I can be with my not-keeping-too-well second baby. While I wait for her to recover fully I've decided to pursue my passion for sharing knowledge. What better way to get started than creating a blog and reaching out to people?

So here I am, sharing hands-on experience, practical tips etc for the benefit of software testers.

"Why testing?", you may ask. Well, I started as a trainer in this industry in 1998, moved on to design, coding, then to testing and finally to managing end-to-end projects. All through out I felt that testing was the most creative phase. Because once you know what requirements are, designers know what to design, coders know what to code. But testers? We do not know which bug to find!  So testing becomes as much an art as it is a skill.

I am aiming to teach you, discuss with you, stimulate you to test better and make software exceedingly better with your contribution. I plan to take everyday problems, put forth different solutions, compare tools and techniques and much much more.

My personal goals:
1. Build a thriving community of over 100 subscribers in 6 months
2. Create an e-book called "Effective tester's handbook" in 6 months

I know I have big goals specially since I will be juggling two kids - one toddler and a baby - while doing all this. But I believe that it is better to have tried and failed, than not to have tried at all. So I am going to give my goals an honest push.

In spite of my best efforts I know I can't do all this alone. I'll need your support and encouragement. In the bargain I am offering you my knowledge and guidance. It's a win/win, what say? :)

So let's embark on our journey to success...
